DAAL CURRY

COOKING METHOD

  1. Heat half oil and stir fry the onions for few minutes. Add Aasan Daal mix and garlic.
  2. Add lentils, tomato, green chilies and 6 cups of water. Boil on low heat until the daal is tender and smooth (about 30 minutes).
  3. Heat the remaining ghee / oil and stir fry the curry leaves for few seconds and pour over the cooked lentil curry. Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Serve with roti/naan or rice along onion rings.

Red Lentils (Dal Masoor) skinless washed & soaked 3 tablespoons
Onion sliced 1 large / 125g
Garlic coarsely chopped 10 cloves
Tomato diced 1 medium
Green Chilies small /medium whole 6-8 pcs
Curry Leaves 10 leaves
Cooking Oil / Ghee ¼-½ cup / 50-85g
